Uaw Local 2162

                                                                  1755 E Plumb Ln # 160, Reno, NV 89502

Members of Local 2162 met in Virginia City, Nv and represented the UAW showing off union made vehicles and tossing out candy to the crowd. We marched with multiple members both active and retired while walking along side multiple other local unions. Members enjoyed a free lunch after the parade and got to sit down and talk with members of other unions in the Northern Nevada area.

As members ate hotdogs and turkey dogs it was all for a good cause. With an amazing display put on members enjoyed hot dogs, turkey dogs, chips, fresh fruit and sodas. The women's committee put on the Luau to help raise funds for school supplies to donate to Desert Heights Elementary School just down the street from General motors.

Labor Day Parade

at Virginia City

Every year Local 2162 members and retirees get together at General Motors to watch the Reno National Air Races. Members bring out friends and family to enjoy free food and a great show. With members and their families eating good food, kids playing in the bounce house, racing RC cars and watching amazing air shows everyone was out and about having a great time. The UAW and General Motors also made a $5,000 donation to the local Center for Abused Women.
